LMDA pushes for representation in congress

Butuan City (10 November) — Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Lake Mainit Development Alliance (LMDA) pushes for the association’s representation in the House of Representatives during its meeting on Tuesday (November 10) at the Agusan del Norte Provincial Training Center, Capitol Site, this city. LMDA publishes its latest official newsletter

The Lake Mainit Development Alliance publishes its official publication “The Lake Mainit Chronicle” issue No. 07 for the period January-June 2010. The new issue covers 10 pages in 5.50 MB pdf file size. The Lake Mainit Chronicle is published with funding support from Philippines-Australia Community Assistance Program and Foundation for the Philippine Environment though Green Mindanao Association, Inc. Newly Elected Officials in Lake Mainit Cluster on First Automated National and Local Elections

The Province of Surigao del Norte and Agusan del Norte with the eight municipalities in Lake Mainit cluster namely Sison, Mainit, Tubod and Alegria in Surigao del Norte and municipalities of Kitcharao, Jabonga, Santiago and Tubay have elected new public officials on its first nationwide automated national and local elections on May 10, 2010. Lake Mainit LGUs completed Advance Microsoft Access 2007 Training Course

Five municipalities in Lake Mainit and LMDA staff successfully completed the 4-day training course on Advance Microsoft Access 2007 Operations for Databank Designing and Management on June 22-25, 2010 held at Municipal Development Center, Alegria, Surigao del Norte. The training is the continuation of the 5 days basic training course on Microsoft Access 2007 which was held last June 3-4 and June 16-18, 2010. (continue).

Microsoft Access Databank Designing introduced to Lake Mainit LGUs

The Lake Mainit Development Alliance in cooperation with the Philippines-Australia Community Assistance Program (PACAP) through the Philippine Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (PhilDHRRA) facilitated series of training on databank designing introducing the Basic and Advance Microsoft Access operations.(continue)

Lake Mainit Environment Governance shared by LMDA Director

The The Lake Mainit Development Alliance (LMDA) Program Director, Engr. Kaiser B. Recabo, Jr. is one of the invited presenters during the 3-day Forum on PACAP and the Environment with a theme: “Building Community Resilience, Sustaining Development” held at Dotties Place Hotel on April 15 – 17, 2010. Engr. Recabo speaks about LMDA experience on environment governance and lake protection as an institution responsible in resources conservation and development for the lake ecosystem. He made mention of the crafting of the Lake Mainit Unified Fishery Ordinance as one of the keys to proper and systematic management of this God given bounty. (continue)

LMDA ATENDED THE FIRST STAKEHOLDERS’ WORKSHOP FOR PARTNERSHIP FOR BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION: Mainstreaming in Local Agricultural Landscape (BPP)

The Global Environmental Facility (GEF) has approved the project preparation grant for the development of the Project Document and CEO Endorsement for the project entitled “Partnership for Biodiversity Conservation: Mainstreaming in local agricultural landscapes (BPP). The executing partners are the DENR, DA, DILG, Fauna and Flora International (FFI), Haribon Foundation, Philconserve, Conservation International-Philippines and Foundation for the Philippine Evironment. LMDA Board of Trustees Meet in its 13th Regular Meeting in Surigao 


LMDA conducts its 13th BOT meeting on February 9, 2010 at Tavern Hotel, Surigao City. The meeting was attended by Hon. Erlpe John M. Amante, Provincial Governor of Agusan del Norte at the same time the Chairperson of Lake Mainit Development Alliance (LMDA); Hon. Robert Ace S. Barbers, Governor of Surigao del Norte. It was also attended by Municipal Mayors, namely; Hon. Aristotle E. Montante of Municipality of Kitcharao; Hon. Glicerio M. Monton, Jr., of municipality of Jabonga; Hon. Franklin D. Lim of Santiago; Hon. Dominador G. Esma, Jr. of Alegria and Hon. Leicester P. Fetalvero of Municipality of Sison. (continue)
